IT Consultant

Responsibilities

Below are some of the responsibilities an IT consultant is expected to assume:

• Consult with stakeholders from various departments within the company regarding their IT needs
• Analyze organization’s infrastructure and IT requirements
• Plan and schedule projects for the organization and various departments
• Implement IT solutions designed to meet business requirements
• Train IT staff in accordance with business needs
• Produce and distribute detailed reports on the state of the company’s technology

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

Below are the qualifications expected of an IT consultant:

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, software engineering or related field
• Understanding and experience using database languages such as SQL or Python
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and technical skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage with and answer questions from senior executives
